Builded as a Hunting Seat by King Frederik 2 in 1560 and demolished by King Christian 4 and rebuild as Frederiksborg Castle 1602-25.

Frederiksborg Castle is builded by King Christian 4 (1577-1648) in the most rich and powerful period 1602-25 of his 52 years reign from 1596 -1648. He was crowned in Copenhagen Cathedral “Vor Frue” only 19 years old in 1596 as King of Denmark – Norway and Duke of Slesvig, Holsten and Gottorp. From the danish-swedish Kalmar War (1611-13) peace agreement with Sweden in 1613 until his military defeat at Lutter am Barenberg i Nothern Germany in 1626 and the peace in Lubeck 1629 King Christian 4 was the richest king in Nothern Europe. He received enormous taxes “Øresundtolden” from commercial ships passing through the danish belt Øresund into the Baltic Sea. He was Maecenas of European art, music and architects and builded castles, fortress, churches, founded cities and buildings for trade in Denmark, Norway, Balticum, Holsten and Slesvig:
