Amager Beach Park – Amager Strandpark is a beach and lagune area constructed in 2005 by building a new artificial island outside the original coastline of the island Amager at Øresund Belt. This new artificial island is 2 kilometer long and 4-500 wide with beaches, small harbours and connected with the old coastline at Amager Strandvej by 3 bridges passing a lagunes areas. Amager Beach Park is situated 2-5 km south of Copenhagen close to Copenhagen Airport.
The nature in Amager Beach is dunes, lagunes, beaches, canals, 2 parks (“5-øren” and “10 øren”) and and grass areas.
The roads, paths, bridges, bathhouses and houses for commercial shops (Beach Stations) are made in concrete and wood.
The overall design and architecture of Amager Beach are artistic and exclusive modern and simple style.
A sunday with joy and fun:
On a sunday 29 september 2013 I visited Amager Beach Park and was filled with joy and happiness of all I what I experienced.
I saw people all over – playing and making fun:
families with their children, young couples in love, runners, rool-skater, windsurfers, people in canoes, on bikes – or just walking.
– and peoples just relaxing on deck chairs and enjoying the warm late september sun in Denmark.
